Privacy policy
Sample policy: the sample market's own text, as a market that runs on Market OS publishes it. A real market's counsel reviews its own, in both languages.
This demo. These pages collect nothing and send nothing: the application form and the newsletter box run entirely in your browser. The hosting provider keeps standard server logs (the address a request came from, the time and the page asked for), as every web host does. The link to WhatsApp and the two links in the footer leave this site only when you tap them.
What the market collects. Vendor applications, the documents vendors upload, records of stall payments, and the email addresses of people who ask for the weekly line-up. Each is used for what it was given for: reviewing an application, verifying a document, booking a stall, sending that email.
Who sees it. Market staff see it, and a vendor sees its own records. The public site shows a vendor's public listing and never a document, a payment or a phone number.
How long it is kept. A declined application, 90 days. An abandoned draft and its uploads, 30 days. Messages, 90 days after a vendor leaves. Government ID is not kept at all: it is checked once, the check is recorded, and the file is destroyed the same day.
Payments and SNAP. Payment card data never touches the market's systems; card payments are processed by Stripe. SNAP and token transactions are never linked to a named shopper in any record or report.
Photographs. Photographs taken on the green carry a release status before publication. Anyone appearing in a published photograph may request its removal and it comes down within 48 hours.
Your requests. Requests about your data go to the market office, and a person answers them.
